An example of an asset EMP is currently engaged on is 220 Queen Street, Auckland. 220 Queen Street is an iconic heritage Auckland office building constructed in 1961 and formerly the headquarters of the AMP society. It holds a pole position on the corner of Queen Street and Victoria Street.
Building condition and occupancy levels have deteriorated over recent years and the current owner has engaged EMP to reposition the asset.
EMP is applying a 'hands on' and highly focused approach to repositioning the asset.
Through a careful combination of retention and extension of existing tenants, accompanied by cost-efficient refurbishments and leasings to new tenants, the building is being progressively repositioned to capture its full potential from its unique character and strategic location.

RICHARD INNES
Richard has provided asset management and advisory services to a wide range of clients, including Anchor Superannuation Fund, Farmers Mutual Group and Lion Nathan, as well as several high-net-worth individuals and families.
He was a member of the management board of a major independent property management and advisory business between 1993 and 2002.
DAVID JOHNSON
David has been involved in the New Zealand property industry since 1988 in a variety of roles ranging from residential and commercial development management through to land development, commercial leasing and asset management.
More recently David has been Project Director of the Commercial Bay development, a $1.0 billion mixed use development in downtown Auckland, New Zealand
NICK SHEPHERD
Nick focuses on identifying and delivering value for investors. Having previously held roles at value-add commercial property groups, including Sustainable Property Investments.
His expertise lies in value-add commercial property investments and asset management, with a focus on turning around underperforming sites and unlocking value through alternative uses of existing assets.
